I started shooting rodeo last year with my Nikon D70. The lighting at the rodeos I am shooting is very poor. Last year I shot with a Tameron AF Aspherical LD 28-200mm f3.8 to 5.6. I was able to get some good shots but mostly I was disappointed. I shot up to 1600 ISO in manual, with the lowest f stop possible for the zoom used, auto white balance, AF-C, single area & dynamic area AF mode, and experimented with shutter speeds from 1/60 to 1/500. I was very displeased with the results I got. On the 1/60 end I got to much blur and trying to stop the action the results were to dark. So I invested in a Nikon Speedlight SB-600. Occasionally I would get a could shot, but I almost always get red eye or the horse or cattle eyes are solid white from the flash. I even tryed to fill in the shadows with flash on manual at 1/64. I still get the white animal eyes. This year I bought a Nikor 50mm f1.8 lense. The lighting was very poor, but most of the pictures were better than last year. I am still not pleased with the quality though. I shot with and without flash. Without the flash pictures were still to dark even at 1.8 and had to be digitally enhanced. I shot some at 800 and 1600 ISO. The images are just to grainy. Any one got any advise. Here are four examples from about 2200 shots from Fri & Sat.

The salary can be lesser than the previous salary and still be compliant with AC21. But the difference should not be too much and it is better to not get into such a situation.
But there is the clause of "intent to work for the sponsoring employer". This overrides the AC21 laws and it is not clear what the repercussions can be if the employer wants to play nasty. Here is the part reproduced from the 2005 memeorandum. For this reason, try and part from yoru current employer amicably.

The value of the U.S. Coast Guard (http://www.uscg.mil/) has never been greater than it is today and it is the men and women of our great Service who truly make it all possible.
After the Change of Command ceremony, I will continue to serve as the National Incident Commander for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill for some period of time but I wanted to take this final opportunity to thank you for your tremendous commitment, dedication, and courage over the past four years.
When I became the Commandant in 2006, I issued a number of orders that I thought were necessary to meet the challenges we faced then and set the conditions for future success. With your help we have accomplished a great deal. We transformed our acquisition process, enhanced our marine safety capability and capacity, created a new and more effective support structure for our Reserve Forces, stood up the Force Readiness Command and Deployable Operations Group, created the Maritime Enforcement Rating, and transformed our maintenance and logistics processes. In the last six years, we have also strengthened our relationships within the Department of Homeland Security. Through the completion of the first Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (http://www.dhs.gov/qhsr), we helped mature the Department and build the Nation's homeland security enterprise.
In the process we enhanced our ties to the Department of Defense. We held unprecedented staff talks with the Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army Corps of Engineers and the National Guard Bureau. The Chief of Naval Operations, the Commandant of the Marine Corps and I cosigned "A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower" and Naval Operating Concepts. We forged stronger bonds with our interagency partners in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Maritime Administration, Drug Enforcement Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and the Department of the Interior. Finally, we strengthened our international ties with our hemispheric partners and through the North Pacific Coast Guard Forum and North Atlantic Coast Guard Forum. Together, we raised the visibility of Coast Guard missions to our external stakeholders and our international partners.
The common thread connecting each of these of initiatives and actions, and my overarching goal as Commandant, was for the Coast Guard to become more change-centric - to sense changes in our operational environment and have the courage to make course corrections before problems overwhelm us or we have terms dictated to us externally. To do that we must become more diverse, adapt to new technologies, and embrace social media as well. I believe we have become more change-centric and a learning organization that capitalizes on lessons learned. Nowhere has this been more evident than in our responses to the devastating earthquake in Haiti and in our leading role to the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The world has seen the value of the U.S. Coast Guard in action. Our Lawyer contacted National Service Center and got some inquiry number starts with WTCXXXXX and expecting a response in 45 days? Is this same as Service Request? Will this help? I already took infopass appointment and met an IO. The IO was saying both of my I-140s are in the same file as 485. But my question is how would they choose my application when USCIS did not port the priority?? Anybody in this situation please help!!

This holds true for 95% of the attorneys. They will give you a "conflict of interest" answer if you try to Invoke AC21
Response from my attorney for a similar question a while back was that the sponsoring company that has filed for your GC should "relieve" the attorney from representation and then they are free to represent you alone with some other company. Unless you don't want the current employer to know about your plans, you may try this option.

Hi,
I need some info. about whether it is good idea to do Canadian PR Landing and H1B extension stamping in one visit to Canada?
Here is the situation:

1. I got Canadian PR approval. I have submitted passport for stamping. After They mail it back to me, I need to travel to Canada(want to go to Vancouver) and at the border apply for PR Landing forms.
2. I have H1B extension approval but need stamping as I need to travel to INdia later this year on vacation. So when I go to canada, can I go to US Consulate apply for stamping and come back to US with same stamping???
I dont have AP so I cannot come back to US without the stamping. So what is the best solution in this case.?
I need to land in Canada before May 2008.
Your help will be greatly appreciated

Hi All,
I would greatly appreciate if you can respond to my query. I went for Visa Stamping Interview at New Delhi Consulate on 3rd Dec. I was given a pink slip /administrative processing and told by VO that i will get a response within 3 weeks, but it has been 6 weeks now and my case is still pending. I wanted to know
1. if I can withdraw my H-1B visa stamping and travel back on Advanced Parole ?
2. If I go back using my AP would my H-1B visa be invalid and would I have to use my EAD for working ?
3. My AP right now is back in USA with my wife. Is there any issue if she sends it by courier to me here in India ?
Please let me know at your earliest convenience,

I have been asked by HR had asked me if i had valid visa. I said yes. then, i realized, there is no visa, its 'adjustment status'. I tried to explain him. He keeps saying, he understands how EAD works, but the HR office would like to see a copy of 'visa' document. I am sure, what should I give him?.
In this case, should i provide copy of I-485 receipt? I already sent him my AP documents and I-94 that i got at port of authority.
Any inputs on what to provide to HR or atleast how to explain that visa is not required, is appreciated.

I have few questions related to my travel plans to India. We will be leaving in January 2009.
We have our Advance Parole and EAD approved till 2009. I-485 is still pending . EB3 India.
My H1B visa stamp is not current or up-to-date on my passport. We have booked our flights with North-west airlines and KLM which will depart from Detroit-Amsterdam-Mumbai. I have few questions pertaining to my travel.
1) Would I still need to get a transit visa for Amsterdam, even though our flight will be halting for few may be 3-4 hours at Amsterdam- Schiphol Airport? If I do have to arrange for Amsterdam transit-visa, then where should I start as far as documentation is concerned.
2) Besides carrying my Passport, Advance parole copies with me, please advise me if I need to carry any more documentation from my end.
3) Would I need a copy of employment letter for visa purpose, or carrying my recent pay-stubs would be fine?
I would appreciate if you could please guide me with the travel related visa -requirements and documentation. Thanks!
